Tim Larson is an accomplished woodturner from Poulsbo, Washington, and an active member of the Olympic Peninsula Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners (OPCAAW). In this class, we will explore the process of creating a wooden lidded box, beginning with selecting and preparing the wood and developing a balanced, attractive design. Tim will turn and hollow the box body, shape and precisely fit the lid, and focus on achieving smooth curves, consistent wall thickness, and a clean lid-to-box connection.
